It’s a spot of summer in September with sunny skies and a balmy — if blustery — high of 24 C with forecast showers overnight.

Wednesday’s forecast features a humidex of 27 and southwesterly winds at 30 km/h gusting to 50.

Wednesday night is increasingly cloudy with showers beginning in the evening and ending before morning. Winds become northwest at 20 km/h gusting to 40 near midnight. The low is 9 C.

Skies clear Thursday morning and a north wind at 20 km/h becomes light in the afternoon. The high is 16 C and the low is 2 C.

Friday is sunny and 18 C with a low of 1 C.

The forecast for the weekend is pure sunshine with highs of 17 C and lows of 2 C Saturday and 5 C Sunday.

Sunny skies are forecast to stick around for early next week with highs of 19 C Monday and 21 C Tuesday.

Typical temperatures for mid-September are highs of 19 C and lows of 9 C.
